FIELD: oil and gas production.

SUBSTANCE: procedure for closure of borehole intervals consists in lowering expendable pipe into borehole. The pipe is equipped with plugging composition on its external surface. This composition expands under influence of external medium into an interval of isolation with successive expansion by means of pressure. Plugging composition is made out of swelling elastomer on base of rubber or poly-urethane and is arranged on sections of the pipe, non-expandable with pressure, while on the expandable sections this composition is applied with thickness not preventing this section complete strengthening. Also, in sections of the pipe, not-expandable with pressure, elastomer does not come out of external radius of the pipe. Prior to expansion by pressure well fluid is replaced with fluid facilitating more efficient elastomer swelling. Upon pressure expansion the expandable pipe is finally expanded mechanically.

EFFECT: simplification of procedure and upgraded quality of closure of reservoirs and leaky sections of casing string.
