FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: friction bearing consists of split insertion equipped with oil delivering and circular cooling grooves made on its working surface. The circular cooling grooves are trapezoidal and are alternated with trapezoidal lugs. Number of circular cooling grooves is one more, than number of trapezoidal lugs. Beginning of the first circular cooling groove from the end of the insertion is located at distance equal to length of the trapezoidal lug. Angle at a base of the circular cooling groove is chosen from condition of facilitating constant area of contact of shaft surface with trapezoidal lugs; allowed length of the insertion is determined by specified ratio.
EFFECT: increased load carrying ability of friction bearing due to improved supply of lubricant and stabilisation of friction coefficient.
