FIELD: mechanics.
SUBSTANCE: device refers to the mechanic engineering, specifically to the developing and manufacturing of bearing parts, in particular, thrust bearing small-envelope high-speed bearing of fluid friction and can be used in cars and mechanics used as transport, in energy industry, mechanic engineering, metallurgic, and other industries. The method includes creation of hydrokinetic oil film movement of one of the two surface bodies, creating the film, and the additional impact on the indicated film produced as the result of the cooled current of heat by the environment. The heat current is changed, providing in the various film zones and its thickness different viscosities and forces of viscous friction between the levels and the surfaces of the body, creating a film and also inside the film. At that provides between the sizes of the lubricant's medium viscosity in all parts of the film, and at their zones and also in the film's thickness ratio, corresponding, at least, of one inequality, selected from the whole system of inequality creating different types of viscosity wedges.
EFFECT: expending areas of application of independent fluid friction bearing parts to the peripheral speed of 90 m/s, improving maintenance characteristics of the devices, where these bearing parts are installed, and also creation of the ability to apply the new bearing parts not only in newly manufactured devices but the used ones as well.
