FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: device comprises an additional source of supply connected to ends of service transformer primary windings connected in parallel to each other, and its secondary windings are connected as split to overhead line (OL) phases and are shunted with a disconnector. To control value and frequency of zero sequence currents, a three-phase bridge controlled converter is used, connected to an additional source of supply, in which there are additional controlled valves of reverse conductivity parallel to controlled valves of straight conductivity, and DC terminals of the converter are connected to ends of the service transformer primary windings connected in parallel to each other. When a signal line is supplied from a grid transformer, the third version of a melting scheme is proposed, in which the single-phase service transformer is connected as split between the neutral line of the supply network transformer and working grounding of a substation.
EFFECT: faster melting of silver thaw on wires and cables of an overhead power transmission line operating in a loading mode, and increased reliability of melting mode.
