SUBSTANCE: to establish a through route to let data through along a wireless network, a function of the communication line index is calculated, as well as a quantised function of the communications line index, using the calculation function of the communications line index, the quantised index is calculated for each of multiple through routes for data passage along the wireless network. Besides, the quantised index of each of multiple through routes for data passage along the wireless network is provided with application of a quantised function of the communications line index and in selection of one of multiple through routes for data passage along the wireless network on the basis of the quantised index of each of multiple through routes. Also a node is described in a wireless network, arranged with the possibility to participate in establishment of a bidirectional through route for data passage along the wireless network.
