FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to powder metallurgy, particularly, to materials intended for production of sintered NdFeB magnets. Sintered NdFeB magnet makes main body. Metal powder containing dysprosium and/or terbium and consisting of rare-earth metal R and transition element T of iron group, or consisting of elements R and T and another element X that may form alloy or intermetallic compound with element R and/or T is applied onto surface of aforesaid magnet. Content of oxygen in said NdFeB magnet makes 5000 ppm or less. Then, said magnet is heated for diffusion of dysprosium and/or terbium along grain edges.
EFFECT: higher coercivity without reduction in residual induction and maximum power product.
