FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to powder metallurgy, particularly to production of rare earth permanent magnet of system R-Fe-B. On moulded sintered magnet of composition R1-Fe-B there is placed a powder containing one or several constituents chosen from oxide R2, fluoride R3 and oxy-fluoride R4, where R1, R2, R3 and R4 are one or several elements chosen from rare earth elements including Y and Sc. Further there is performed thermal treatment of moulded magnet and powder at temperature equal or below the temperature of magnet sintering in vacuum or in inert gas.
EFFECT: production of magnet with high residual magnetisation and coercive force.
