SUBSTANCE: invention relates to aircraft engineering, particularly, to diagnostics and repair of aircraft and helicopters. Proposed method consists in the following. Optimum diagnostics and repair procedure is selected. Faulty and sound parts coupled with faulty parts are subjected to fault detection. Faults detected by one check procedure are verified by another check method. Parameter magnitudes obtained in fault detection are compared with those obtained after repair. Engine is subjected to run-up operation in preliminary fault detection. Data bases are created for control over processes during the entire period of operation and repair. Possibility of continuation of operation and reliability of operation after repair are estimated. Note here that it proves possible to use one and the same control systems, work stations and process stations for diagnostics and repair of various aircraft and helicopters.

EFFECT: higher efficiency of diagnostics and repair.
