SUBSTANCE: invention relates to maintenance and repair of aviation equipment. Method for repairing aviation equipment during operation at permanent locations includes reviewing the technical documentation, conducting preliminary fault detection, and determining the practicability of conducting repairs. In the process of repairs, first the site of maintenance and repair is determined, then preliminary fault detection is conducted, the causes of failure or malfunction of the assembly and part are determined, the identified defects are listed. The optimal number of spare assemblies and parts is then formed on the basis of a computer program. Additionally, fault detection is repeated and the serviceability of assemblies and parts is tested on stands prior to the installation of assemblies and parts on board the plane. In order to monitor the process of wear of assemblies and parts, a database is created when faults are detected in the parameters and when the values thereof deviate from the nominal values for the entire period of operation and repair.

EFFECT: time of repairs is shortened, repair is optimised.
