FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: micrometeoroid velocity detector has two dielectric plates spaced apart. Metallic strips are deposited on two sides of each plate in the horizontal position on one side of the plate, and in the vertical position on the other side of the plate. There are holes whose inner surface is coated with metal at the crossing points of these strips. Resistors and capacitors are connected in parallel between all horizontal and vertical strips of each of the plates. The first and last strips of each of the horizontal and vertical plates are connected by amplifiers whose outputs are connected to inputs of units for calculating particle coordinates. The outputs of the units for calculating particle coordinates are connected to inputs of the unit for recording the particle flight time.
EFFECT: easy manufacture of a velocity detector and simple process of processing information from the detector.
