FIELD: information technology.
SUBSTANCE: energy distribution matrices are first generated from discretised and quantised readings of spectral representations of references of identified classes of radio signals. Said matrices are normalised and attribute vectors are generated, and during detection, an attribute vector similar to the reference is generated from the discretised and quantised readings of the received radio signal during detection. The obtained attributes are compared with reference features and a decision is made on associating the received radio signal with one of the references of the identified classes.
EFFECT: high speed of operation while maintaining the required probability of correct detection, owing to pre-normalisation of radio signal energy distribution matrices and using average power values of their wavelet coefficients as elements of attribute vectors.
