SUBSTANCE: resultant of a reference signal and an analysed signal is obtained after continuous wavelet transformation and mutual coherence is estimated, wherein comparing the threshold value of the mutual coherence function without and with a signal indicates the presence of a signal from the desired substance.

EFFECT: enabling determination of a desired substance from a magnetic resonance signal with a low signal-to-noise ratio.
