FIELD: radio engineering, communication.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to radio signal discrimination methods, in particular, to the methods of discriminating the radio signal modulation type and parameters. The invention can be used in devices used for the discrimination of radio signals of a complex frequency and timing structure. The method involves the preliminary generation of energy distribution matrices from discretised and quantised counts of reference radio signals (RS), based on their frame wavelet conversions. Next, marker vectors are formed from these matrices by the line-by-line concatenation of all wavelet coefficients. After that, the marker vector elements are classified, and each of RS used for the identification is divided into fragments. Duration of every fragment is equal to the one of a reference RS. Then, the average value fragment for RS under discrimination is calculated. This fragment is then used for its marker vector generation, in the same way as for the reference RS. Then the discriminated RS is identified by subtracting the absolute value of its marker vector from the absolute values of the marker vectors for each of the reference RS. The discriminated RS is incidental to the reference RS with the least difference between the marker vectors.
EFFECT: higher chance of correct radio signal discrimination due to the lower influence to the marker vector formed from the primary radio signal, which is defined by the information component.
