SUBSTANCE: invention refers to robot vacuum cleaners. A robot vacuum cleaner comprising a control system arranged with the possibility to control at least frequency or intensity of contact between a cleaning brush of its suction nozzle (3) and each section of floor cleaned surface (20) cleaned by the brush, so that at least for some floor surface (20) sections cleaned by the brush and arranged in close proximity from at least one of the borders formed by a structure that protrudes from the floor surface or above arranged (18) floor surface (20, 21) cleaned by the vacuum cleaner, frequency or intensity of contact between the cleaning brush and each of the floor surface sections reduces as the distance reduces from at least one border of floor surface (20) cleaned by the vacuum cleaner.

EFFECT: reduced damage of floor cover.
