FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: method for surface treatment of submicron particles involves comprises several steps involving exposure to a supersonic gas jet at temperature 100…500°C and ratio of mass flow of the gas to the submicron particles Gg/Gn ≥ 0.2 (where: Gg is the mass flow of the gas, Gn is the mass flow of submicron particles). The gas can contain a surfactant additive. Separation is carried out using a Petryanov filter. This filter is periodically cleaned through exposure to shock waves resulting from the flow of gas through a supersonic nozzle. The separated submicron particles are periodically unloaded after overlapping of gas and submicron particle streams at the limiting level of the volume of submicron particles in the separation chamber, wherein the limiting level of the volume must not exceed 10% of the volume of the separation chamber.

EFFECT: quality separation of submicron particles when implementing the method.
