FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: procedure for production of multi-layer coating for cutting tool consists in vacuum-plasma application of three-layer coating. As a lower layer carbonitride of titanium and molybdenum is applied at pressure of acetylene in a chamber of the installation 7.5·10-4 Pa and temperature 600°C. Same carbonitride alloyed with aluminium is applied as an intermediate layer at pressure of acetylene of 7.5·10-4 Pa and temperature 550°C in the chamber of the installation. As an upper layer carbonitride of titanium and aluminium is applied at pressure of acetylene in a chamber of the installation 4.3·10-3 Pa and temperature 500°C.
EFFECT: increased functionality of tool and upgraded quality of treatment.
