FIELD: transport.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to logging machine and method of its control. Logging machine comprises cabin, boom, logging appliance mounted on said boom, top rotary assembly rotary platform assembly and cross-country chassis. Levelling mechanism is mounted on chassis to support rotary platform assembly. Levelling mechanism incorporates multiple hydraulic cylinders arranged to displace rotary platform relative to chassis. First and second transducers allow measuring first and second parameters of rotary platform position relative to chassis. Operator data input device is arranged in cabin to generate command instruction. Controller is programmed for operating range to allow automatic control over logging machine. Proposed method comprises the following stages: defining lengthwise and crosswise tilt, receiving command signals, adjusting levelling mechanism and maintaining levelling mechanism in operating range via continuous monitoring of said tilt and inhibiting operation beyond operating range.
