SUBSTANCE: device has a first mounting element and a first holder which is pivotally joined to the first mounting element. The holder has a fastening element which holds a connecting element on which light guides can be connected. The mounting element is configured for installation of only the first holder and includes two guides which guide the light guides to the first holder and guide the first and second light guides to the mounting element from different directions. The guides guide the first and second light guides into a common channel before guiding the light guides to the first holder. According to the method, the light guides are guided to the holder from different sides through two different guides. The light guides are guided into a common channel on the mounting element. From the common channel, the light guides are guided into one holder and are connected on the connecting element lying on the fastening element of one holder.
