FIELD: agriculture.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to biotechnology. To produce an initial material for barley selection by method of experimental mutagenesis, a solution of albite preparation is applied. In the second generation the preparation effect results in chlorophyll mutations and morphophysiological variances of barley. Forms with morphophysiological mutations are assessed by a complex of economically valuable criteria, and in case there is value, they are used for further selection.
EFFECT: method for mutagenic treatment of barley seeds makes it possible to produce a large quantity of various forms of barley plants for use in selection within a short period of time.
