FIELD: agriculture.
SUBSTANCE: invention is intended for use in plant biotechnology. In the method a solution of the preparation alto-super is applied for obtaining the source material for breeding of barley as a mutagen in the tillering stage of plant of zero generation. In the second generation under the action of the preparation chlorophyll mutations and morphological changes in barley appear. Further obtained morphological and physiological mutations are evaluated according to the set of economic characteristics, and the selection and valuable forms are used in further breeding.
EFFECT: method of mutagenic treatment of barley enables to obtain for a short period of time a large variety of mutant forms for use in genetics and breeding of barley.
