FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: multi-pass weld is performed by automatic arc procedure under compound with low alloyed silicon-manganic welding wire. Grooving is filled by spreading with rollers of thickness as high, as 4 mm and width 12-16 mm so, that axle of the roller is set off from central axis of the seam at distance not less, than 2 mm and not more, than 1/2 of roller width. Level of rate of energy input is 1.1-1.6 kJ/mm due to optimal combination of parameters of a welding mode. Between-pass temperature is specified within the range of 20÷100°C.
EFFECT: raised impact strength of metal of welded connections and reduced material expenditures.
