SUBSTANCE: method includes preparation of ceramic mass, plastic forming of a tile, its drying and baking, application of a layer of abrasive material onto tile surface, which is carried out prior to tile drying with its subsequent rolling. After baking tile surface with a layer of abrasive material layer applied on it is impregnated with sterol or acrylonitrile monomer or methyl methacrylate with its subsequent polymerisation, besides, monomer is applied together with an initiating system, which contains benzoin peroxide and dimethyl aniline, taken in the mass ratio of 1:0.5. At the same time the initiating system makes 2% of monomer weight.

EFFECT: strong fixation of abrasive material on surface of ceramic tile, elimination of minor defects on tile surface.
