FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: one fanlike narrow fixed X-ray beam is formed to irradiate controlled object moving at constant speed by X-ray source, said X-rays are registered to produce analog electric signals to be converted into digital codes adequate to X-ray radiation intensity along intersection between beam and object, and object flat image is produced on monitor. Note here that X-ray source is moved inside customs tunnel along circle-one-third arc at variable pitch with elements that form fanlike beam of rays irradiated at various preset angles of 0°…90° to produce and memorise in digital codes series of N flat images to be program-converted into one 3D image of controlled object. Note also that at 0° object lateral flat image is produced while at 90° top flat image is obtained. Note that irradiation is carried out with object moving on both sides of radiation source.
EFFECT: higher accuracy of object identification.
