FIELD: testing technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention is used for non-destructive testing of large-sized objects (LSO) using X-ray radiation. The essence of the invention lies in the fact that the movement of the platform along the rails is carried out using a mechanical system including a drive gear, a chain, tension and support rollers. The chain is attached to the eyelets fixed in the center of the ends of the platform, and is installed between the gear wheel and the tension roller. The tension roller is used to tighten the chain. The support roller prevents the chain from touching the surface when it is sagging. The rotation of the gear wheel is provided by a reversible electric drive, including a reversible three-phase electric motor and a step-down mechanical gearbox. The elements of the mechanical system are located inside the passage way, along which the LSO enters the platform or moves off it.
EFFECT: providing the possibility of simplifying the mechanical system for uniform movement of the platform with an LSO relative to the stationary X-ray source located on it.
