METHOD TO DESIGN SILHOUETTE SHAPES OF CLOTHES MODELS FOR BODIES OF INDIVIDUAL CONSUMERS Russian patent published in 2011 - IPC A41H3/00

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to sewing industry, namely, to design of silhouette shapes of clothes models for individual consumers and may be used for any types of sewing enterprises, which make female shoulder clothes. The method to design silhouette shapes of clothes models for bodies of individual consumers, where the initial artistic sketch is proportioned for an individual body on the basis of its two maximum projection parameters, vertical and horizontal ones: height and largest cross diameter of shoulders or hips, with account of appropriate addition to the largest horizontal parameter, by means of superimposition of two proportioning grids onto contour of the specific body full-face and half-face, using A-rhomb and rectangles of D. Hambridge. Additionally values of projection additions are determined at the main structural levels: breast, waist and hips, at the same time at the waist and hips levels the recommended values of projection additions are selected, and at the waist line level - on the basis of measurement of body contour parameter values in frontal and side projections, namely, the vertical distance between most protruding points of the body and total values of horizontal distances between most protruding points of the body relative to the bend in the waist line. Preferable values of projection additions are determined on the basis of developed nomograms.

EFFECT: harmonisation of the initial artistic sketch with account of morphological parameters makes it possible to create objectively preferable silhouette shapes of clothes models for individual bodies of consumers.
