SUBSTANCE: method is based on EMP pulse recording as per the heading length, measurement of their durations τi, extraction of pulses with duration τpi which exceeds τi by more than one order, measurement of Ti periods of pulse running with duration τi and extraction of Tpi periods of pulse running with duration τpi. The beginning of discontinuity of section, as the load on it increases, is estimated with the beginning of τpi increase, starting from τpn, and the beginning of Tpi decrease, starting from Tpn; as per further τpi increase to τp(n-1) and Tpi decrease, till Tp(n-i) the development of process is estimated, and as per the specified ratios τpn=(f) τpn and Tpn=(f) Tpn the critical state of mass section discontinuity is estimated, after which its separation into fragments starts.

EFFECT: higher prediction accuracy.
