FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: gyro of definite type comprises optical unit made up of three communicated optical resonators that form regular octahedron with eight triangular faces. Every resonator has four capillary channels that form quadrate perpendicular to relevant measurement axis. Resonators are arranged so that every angle of one resonator is aligned and connected with that of another resonator. Mirror connected with each pair of aligned angles is oriented to be used by two resonators that form sad pair. Each resonator used four mirrors including read-off mirror and mirror with servo drive to adjust resonator length. Gyro comprises also mechanism to activate the unit in compliance with reciprocation relative to activation axis and three cathodes connected with two resonators. Said two resonators are selected every time via cyclic rearrangement.
EFFECT: longer life, reduced costs and simplified design.
