FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: in matching two media with flat contact boundary, recesses are produced at said boundary on one of said media, both artificially and naturally, in compliance with particular surface texture of a medium. Said recesses are filled with material that features acoustic resistance Zi related to specific area of surface of recess by the following relationship: where Z2 and Z1 are acoustic resistances of matched media related to medium wherein said recusals are made and to medium without said recesses.

EFFECT: expanded range of materials to be acoustically matched.
