FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to acoustics. Acoustic diode containing a mesoscale sound-conducting particle focusing radiation incident on it with a spatial resolution of not less than the diffraction limit and made from an array of coaxial parallel V-shaped plates, wherein said plates are made of material with impedance different from that of ambient medium. Relative refraction index of the material of the acoustic diode depends only on the physical length of the parallel plates or on the angle of inclination of these plates with respect to the incident radiation and the acoustic diode has the shape of a cuboid with the size of the edges of the faces of at least 3λ, where λ is the acoustic radiation wavelength.
EFFECT: obtaining a simple mesoscale acoustic diode with flat faces and high efficiency.
