FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: electro-optical module has an instrument unit mounted on a platform. The platform is mounted on a rotary support which can rotate in the azimuthal and elevation planes. The housing of the instrument unit contains a cooled long range thermal imager and a colour video camera. The thermal imager has sensitivity of 0.025 K and a narrow field of vision of 0.45×0.6 degrees. The rotary support is connected to the instrument unit by a cable and includes azimuthal and elevation drives connected to a controller.
EFFECT: longer target recognition range.
