FIELD: information technology.
SUBSTANCE: location of a subframe is determined from the time when transmission of SFN for data takes place. The first and second transmission templates are determined for reference signals, wherein the transmission templates indicate symbols and tones of the subframe to be used for reference signals. The first or second transmission template for reference signals is selected depending on whether SFN data will be transmitted in the subframe, and information on the selected transmission template is transmitted before use.
EFFECT: more efficient messaging.
