FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: disclosed is a liquid polishing composition containing the following (wt %): silicon-based fibre (0.01-3); from approximately 0.20 to approximately 10 wt % poly(alpha-olefin) compound (0.20-10) containing hyper-branched poly(alpha-olefin) (0.1-5); polydimethyl siloxane liquid (6-60); volatile cyclic silicon (1-20); amino-functional silicon (0.25-3); UV absorber (0.01-5); and petroleum product-based filler. The liquid polishing composition can be packed together with microfibre polishing fabric in form of a polishing set.
EFFECT: disclosed liquid polishing composition provides prolonged demonstrational finishing and can be used on rubber, vinyl and plastic components in direct sunlight and on hot surfaces without leaving a white residue usually associated with common polishing compositions.
