FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: tuned phase inverter enables to lower sound pressure inside a radiator and reproduce a low-frequency band in a linear mode. The given task is solved by that the phase-inverting non-directional radiator is in form of a hollow regular polyhedron with a loudspeaker mounted on each of the faces of the polyhedron. The radiator has a phase inverter in form of a cylindrical pipe and is placed at one of the trihedral angles. The end parts of the cylindrical pipe of the phase inverter are in form of exponential bypasses. The number of phase inverters can be more than one. The dimensions (length and diameter) of the cylindrical pipe of the phase inverter depend on the frequency on which the radiator is tuned.
EFFECT: wider frequency band for reproducing a test signal towards the low-frequency side owing installation of the phase inverter.
