FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy. Proposed roll stand comprises working rolls resting on support or intermediate rolls. Note here that working rolls and/ or intermediate rolls are arranged in stand to axially move relative to each other. Note also that every working roll features bent barrel profile described by trigonometric function. Besides both said profiles complement each other exclusively in radial unloaded position. Support rolls have barrel profile complementing each other. Note that, in unloaded position, complete or partial complement of support rolls barrel profiles and those of adjacent working or intermediate rolls.
EFFECT: minimised irregularity in load distribution along contact between two adjacent rolls.
