FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method comprises using CVC/CVCplus-technologies in orienting strip edges shifting in four- or six-roller stands, its working rollers and/or intermediate rollers being capable of interacting with axial shift drivesy. Note here that each rollers features body of roll elongated for CVC-shift and furnished with one-side chamfer at the body edge. Possibility to use stand with identical sets of rollers results from that the four-roller stand incorporates working rollers geometrically identical to intermediate rollers of six-roller stand with body of roll elongated for CVC-shift and one-side chamfer y(x) in the body edge zone. Note that, similarly, with working and/or intermediate roller position set up, depending upon strip width, working roller is positioned in various positions relative to strip edges. Note also that, within the limits of strip width, the position of shift of appropriate roller is preset using piecewise linear function. Proposed device comprises mill rolls of appropriate shape and sizes.
EFFECT: lower costs and higher quality of strips.
