SUBSTANCE: method involves a step for polycondensation of a polyester resin in the presence of a tin compound in amount of 50-120 parts per million and an antimony compound in amount of 95-300 parts per million of the polyester resin, and a step for solid-phase polymerisation of the polyester resin for a period of time sufficient for increasing characteristic viscosity of the resin by at least 0.15 dl/g.
EFFECT: obtaining a polyester resin with low rate of generating acetaldehyde.
