FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: molten phase method of producing a polyester product with amount of antimony of not less than 100 parts/million with respect to mass of the product, involving addition of an antimony-containing catalyst to a molten polymer, polycondensation of the melt to characteristic viscosity of 0.45 dl/g and continuous polycondensation of the melt at 265-305°C and/or pressure below atmospheric pressure to characteristic viscosity of the melt of not less than 0.75 dl/g. A polyester polymer composition is also described, which contains the said molten phase polyester product and toner. Also described is a method of producing polyester molten phase granules, which involves feeding a polyester composition into an extruder, melting the composition and extrusion of the molten composition through a draw plate with formation of granules. The proposed method allows for obtaining polyester with low value of yellow - colour index b* from -5 to +5 and luminosity index L* not less than 70.
EFFECT: polyethyleneterephthalate with high characteristic viscosity of the molten phase.
