FIELD: metallurgy.

SUBSTANCE: invention can be used at processing source material in form of unprocessed metallurgical slag containing undesirable heavy metal, such as manganese containing and iron containing slag for obtaining products of slag processing. The procedure consists in following stages: mixing unprocessed slag including mixture of at least one manganese containing slag and at least one iron containing slag with reducer for forming reaction mixture, in heating reaction mixture to initiate reduction of compounds of heavy metals in unprocessed slag to produce melted ferro-manganese and melted processed slag, and in separation of melted ferro-manganese from melted processed slag for its further utilisation at production of materials used in construction industry.

EFFECT: obtaining product of slag processing used as filler at fabrication of bricks or at preparation of commodity concrete mixtures, as additive to cement mixtures for increase of their volume or for production of cement with additives, or as filler for utilisation in construction industry.
