FIELD: machine building.

SUBSTANCE: collector of high pressure apparatus of steam plant has wall (21) of collector with branch (5) for welding pipes of feed water. Branch (5) is formed totally from wall (21) of the collector and projects outside wall (21) of the collector. Branch (5) is formed from wall (21) of the collector by cutting machining the wall of initially bigger thickness. Initially, external outline (22) of wall (21) of the collector is cut to external outline (23) of wall (21) of the collector. There is formed branch (5) as permanent part of wall (21) of the collector projecting from an external outline (23).

EFFECT: elimination of welded connection between branch as first part and wall of collector as second part; at big collectors with multitude of branches there is considerably reduced labour input at increased strength and reliability of transition zone between branch and wall of collector.
