FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: method is based on using a vector-matrix relationship which reflects the connection between current values of angle of orientation of the object generated by a gyroscope system and information from the satellite navigation system on coordinates of two non-collinear satellites in topocentric Cartesian coordinates of the satellites and Cartesian coordinates in the coordinate system associated with the object. The positive result of the disclosed method is achieved by using ephemeral information of the satellite system, calculating Cartesian coordinates of selected satellites in a topocentric coordinate system and the coordinate system associated with the object, calculating adjustments to current values of orientation parameters generated by the gyroscope system, and correcting said parameters using the calculated adjustments.

EFFECT: high accuracy.
