METHOD OF INDIVIDUAL CALIBRATION OF SCALES OF PRESSURE GAUGES AND DEVICE FOR ITS IMPLEMENTATION Russian patent published in 2011 - IPC G01L27/00

Abstract RU 2428668 C2

FIELD: instrument making.

SUBSTANCE: method of individual calibration of scales of pressure gauges consists in the fact that pressure is supplied at certain speed to cavity of elastic sensor. Readout device has connection to pressure gauges as per optic principle and it determines position of pointers in real time and supplies it in the form of digital signal to computer. Actual pressure value supplied to instruments in time is determined by means of digital instrument connected to computer control programme which processes the received information. Considering the impact of hysteresis by averaging the reading of position of the pointer so that both at direct and reverse travel the averaged value is chosen; thus, impact of hysteresis on the error is decreased by two times. Since digital instrument is located on collector, and not in pressure setting zone, the connection between control programme, readout device and digital instrument is not lost. All the instruments are installed on one and the same level and at one and the same height with digital pressure metre, which excludes additional error of readings of instruments due to level difference of medium used in the installation (water, air, oil, etc). The device implementing the method of individual calibration of scales of pressure gauges includes group of calibrated instruments installed on one collector or two parallel located collectors respectively, which are connected to each other by means of pipelines. Pressure change device is connected to middle point of pipelines. Pipelines contain shutoff valves. Digital instruments are installed on collectors at one and the same level with calibrated instruments, which excludes error of measurements of instruments since the specified pressure and pressure of calibrated instruments is balanced at instant of time. Digital instruments are connected to computer which is connected to readout device and printer.

EFFECT: higher efficiency and accuracy of instruments.
