SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an aqueous shampoo composition containing (i) one or more anionic cleaning surfactants; (ii) insulated, dispersed droplets of a water-insoluble conditioning agent with average droplet diameter (D_3,2) equal to or less than 4 mcm; (iii) one or more cationic polymers (A) selected from quaternised hydroxy ethylene cellulose polymers with a cationic substitute of trimethyl ammonium and dimethyl dodecyl ammonium and mixtures thereof, and (iv) one or more cationic polymers (B) selected from cationic modified polygalactomannans.

EFFECT: invention provides a shampoo composition, having improved conditioning effect with reduced excessive deposition of the conditioning agent on hair.
