FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: method of making composite polymer membrane with a selective nonporous layer of polytrimethyl silyl propyne involves dissolving polytrimethyl silyl propyne in a solvent, filtering the solution on a mesh filter, after which a belt is cut from porous polymer material as a substrate, which is then tied on rollers, after which a container is filled with the polytrimethyl silyl propyne solution and the belt of porous material is passed through the polytrimethyl silyl propyne solution at given speed, thus forming on the surface of the said belt a solid layer of polytrimethyl silyl propyne solution, after which the belt is removed from the rollers and dried at room temperature and atmospheric pressure until achieving constant mass to obtain a composite polymer membrane with thickness of the layer of polytrimethyl silyl propyne on the surface of the belt of porous material equal to 0.5-5 mcm. The composite polymer membrane is then put into butyl alcohol for 24 hours and then dried in air until achieving constant mass.

EFFECT: making a flawless composite gas-separating polymer membrane with a selective nonporous layer of polytrimethyl silyl propyne.
