FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: device consists of appliances for passing wire in form of loop around rods and of rotary head for twisting ends of loop together. The head contains at least one clamping device in form of a gripper with variable force for fixation of wire. The clamping devices can create a variable gripping force to facilitate specified tension of wire during at least the first phase of twisting. Also, wire can be preliminary supplied between operations of twisting; surface of wire can be prepared and there can be used electric conductivity of reinforcing rods for determination of their presence in a working zone of the device before binding.
EFFECT: reliability of binding and simplicity of usage.
