SUBSTANCE: information management system includes a first wireless communication device, a second wireless communication device and an application module. The first wireless communication device has an address directory which contains contact information. The second wireless communication device has an address directory and is configured to interface with the first wireless communication device over a wireless network. The application module detects a communication event between the first and the second device and, as response to detecting the communication event, it offers the user of the first device to send contact information to the second device. The application module also assigns the first device to send contact information over the wireless network to the second device. The address directory may be located on either a UICC card, SIM, USIM, Mega SIM or any other smart card or on an integrated chip in a mobile device or on a remote server.
EFFECT: automatic exchange of contact information between users on a network.
