SUBSTANCE: method of transmitting and receiving data in a mobile communication system involves: receiving control information relating to transmission and reception from the transmitting side, determining information of at least one power saving parameter of talkspurt and silence interval from the control information relating to transmission and reception, and receiving data from the transmitting side by applying information of the power saving parameter depending on the talkspurt and the silence interval. Using the describe method, undesirable data are not received on the silence interval.
