SUBSTANCE: invention relates to communication systems. the mode of operation of the terminal for reception of service of expanded multiple-address and broadcasting transmission (E-MBS service) in the system with several carriers, containing the following stages, is described: establishment of connection with a base station for E-MBS service; transmission to the base station of the first message including the information on the report mode when the terminal accepts E-MBS service from the base station; meanwhile the information on the report mode specifies that the terminal requests a base station to fix starting time of operation of switching of carriers, reception from the base station of the second message including the information on starting time of operation of switching of carriers, requested by the terminal, and start of operation of switching of carriers on the basis of received information on starting time of the carrier switching operation.

EFFECT: decrease of energy consumption.
