FIELD: transport.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to planning railway car motion through railroads yard. In compliance with first version, there are tracks used as incoming tracks, splitting-up lines and departure lines, and multiple railway cars. Said cars are assigned series of tasks for moving through railroads yard that specify: multiple trains come in railroads yard, importance of every car is determined for every group of cars on incoming line, values of importance are grouped for every incoming line, and transfer of cars onto splitting-up lines is planned depending upon said grouped values of importance on relevant incoming lines. In compliance with second version, the flowing sequence of tasks is used: departing cars are determined, planned for departure from yards during preset planning period; determined are selected cars for every departing train; importance of every car is defined; selected cars are ranked in decreasing order based on commercial objective conditions to select define car to be included in definite departing train in the order of said ranking.
EFFECT: optimised operation of railroads yard.
