METHOD OF SIMULATION OF TRAIN TRAFFIC FLOW IN RAILWAY SECTION Russian patent published in 2003 - IPC

FIELD: railway transport. SUBSTANCE: invention is designed for simulation of train running and it can be used in hardware-software systems for working out decision at train traffic control at definite time period on railway section. Data on section are presented in form of great number of elementary data arrays corresponding to block section. Logic connections are introduced between corresponding elementary data arrays, correspondence between sequence of elementary data arrays of block section and data on scheduled speeds, speed limits and speed prescribed by light signals is set up. At each step departure of trains according to schedule and movement of trains on block section are simulated by changing state of elementary data arrays indicating occupancy and non-occupancy of block section corresponding to danger light and clear light of light signal. Invention provides possibility of evaluation of operating indices of train running to schedule, brings to minimum operating expenses and cost of elaboration of control decisions when passing train traffic flow.
