FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: procedure consists in immersion of vacuum chamber with two cylinder branches into steel tapping ladle, in pressure pump-down by means of vacuum pumps, in supply of argon into one of branches and in interrupting flow of argon with ultra-sonic vibrations. Argon flow is supplied through pipes tuyeres installed in two or more rows along vertical. At residual pressure in the vacuum chamber 2.0-0.2 mm m.c. ultra-sonic vibrations of 20-45 kHz frequency are introduced into flow of argon through pipes-tuyeres of at least one row. Vibrations are generated by means of gas-dynamic or magnetic-striction or electro-striction generators. Oxygen is additionally supplied into the vacuum chamber before introduction of ultra-sonic vibrations into flow of argon through one or more tuyeres. Acoustic vibrations have frequency of 0.5-10 kHz and are generated by means of device creating detached flows and compression shocks.
EFFECT: increased rate and depth of steel refining from detrimental elements.
